Name and describe at least two (2) biomes. You will only receive full credit if you add descriptions in addition to listing two biomes. The descriptions can include the climate, what lives or grows there, and any other information you know.(2 points)

1. Tropical Rainforest:

Tropical rainforests are located near the equator and have high levels of rainfall throughout the year. These biomes are characterized by dense vegetation, including tall trees with broad leaves, epiphytes, and diverse plant and animal species. The climate in tropical rainforests is hot and humid, with a consistent temperature range and high levels of rainfall. Animal species in the tropical rainforest include a variety of primates, birds, reptiles, and insects. The Amazon Rainforest in South America is one of the largest and most well-known tropical rainforests in the world.

2. Desert:
Deserts are characterized by low precipitation levels and dry, arid conditions. While deserts can be found around the world, they are typically located in regions with high temperatures and little vegetation. Plant and animal species in deserts have adapted to survive in these harsh conditions, with many having specialized features such as water-storing tissues, nocturnal behavior, and heat resistance. Some common desert plants include cacti, succulents, and drought-resistant shrubs. Animals found in deserts include camels, snakes, lizards, and various species of birds. The Sahara Desert in Africa is one of the largest and most famous deserts in the world.
