what are 2 things you still wonder about IQR(interquartile rage)and MAD(mean absolute deviation)

im in 7th grade btw so sound like one pleaseee

1. Why do we use the interquartile range (IQR) instead of just looking at the range of a data set? What additional insight does the IQR provide that the range does not?

2. How is the mean absolute deviation (MAD) different from other measures of dispersion, such as standard deviation? Why might one be more useful than the other in certain situations?
