Jared, Josias, Bryan, and Michael were engaged in an intense battle in the video game console at Jared and Josias’ house. After a while, they began to grow bored and started to discuss over what their next activity should be. It was 7 pm at the time, with their parents chatting in the living room. The four friends decided to sneak out to the backyard to play hide and seek, knowing the parents wouldn’t approve of them going outdoors at night. Jared volunteered to be the seeker, and so the rest of them went out to hide in the dense forest.

After counting to 100, he went out to go look for them. After many minutes passed, and darkness fell over the sky, Jared reluctantly accepted defeat. “Alright, you win!” he exclaimed. In response, he was met with silence. So he yelled again, “You can come out now!” Still, nobody answered. Assuming they were playing a prank, Jared warned them, “I’m heading back inside and unless you want to sleep outdoors tonight, I’d suggest you join me!” However, as he turned to return to the house, he realized he was in unfamiliar terrain and could not find his home. Despite the circumstances, he managed to be calm and simply walk to whichever direction, yelling out the names of his friends and brother, knowing there was nothing more he could do.

As Jared continued to walk through the dark forest, he couldn’t help but berate himself for his ignorant decision to play hide and seek outdoors at night. Growing weary from a long walk and increasing anxiety, Jared decided to call out for his friends again. But just as he opened his mouth to shout, a blood curling screech pierced through the night. His heart skipped a beat, and he stopped dead in his tracks, listening for any other sounds. As his mind racing with possibilities, Jared wondered what his next move will be. Will he run as fast as possible? Will he stand still and wait until he’s certain the coast is clear? Or will there be no next move?

He hesitated. Knowing that running would only attract whatever emitted that bone-chilling screech, he decided it was best to wait longer, and so he did. After a while, Jared finally found it safe to continue. Every. but after a while, he shrugged it off as a mountain lion or some other animal, knowing that they can make the strangest sounds. But his relief came to an end not even a minute afterwards, for he heard the sound again, this time much closer. He came to realize it sounded nothing like any animal he’s ever heard. He jerked his head to the direction he heard the noise from. His eyes widened as he saw a towering humanoid figure with unnaturally long arms. Adrenaline kicked in and Jared sprinted as fast as he could to the opposite direction, not looking back. After he could not run anymore he finally stopped to hide behind a large tree, trying to catch his breath.

As Jared crouched behind the tree, his heart pounding in his chest, he dared to steal a glance back at the figure. The creature stood there, its long limbs contorted in an unnatural manner, its skin a sickly pale tone that seemed to glow in the darkness. Its elongated fingers ended in razor-sharp claws, ready to tear through flesh with ease. As the creatures dark gaze locked on to him, its mouth twisted into a sinister grin full of jagged teeth.

Please finish the story for me

Jared's breath caught in his throat as fear gripped him. He knew he had to think fast in order to survive this encounter. With his heart racing, he slowly inched away from the tree, hoping to make a break for it and escape from the horrifying creature. But as he moved, the creature's movements mirrored his own, closing the distance between them.

Panic set in as Jared realized he was trapped with no way out. With a surge of adrenaline, he made a split-second decision to make a run for it. He sprinted as fast as his legs could carry him, dodging branches and leaping over rocks in a desperate attempt to escape the clutches of the terrifying figure.

As he ran, the creature let out an ear-piercing screech, sending chills down Jared's spine. He could hear the creature gaining on him, its heavy footsteps getting closer and closer. But Jared refused to give up. He pushed himself to his limits, determined to escape and survive this nightmare.

Just when he thought he couldn't go on any longer, Jared saw a faint glow in the distance. It was the lights of his house, shining like a beacon of hope in the darkness. With renewed determination, he pushed himself even harder, running towards the safety of his home with all his might.

Finally, Jared burst through the back door of his house, gasping for breath and trembling with fear. His friends and brother were there, looking at him with concern. Without a second thought, Jared locked the door behind him, knowing that whatever was out there would not be able to follow him inside.

As he collapsed on the floor, safe and surrounded by loved ones, Jared knew he had narrowly escaped a fate worse than death. And as he retold the harrowing tale of his encounter with the creature in the forest, he swore to never play hide and seek in the dark again. For he had learned the hard way that some things are better left unseen and unknown in the shadows of the night.

Make it have a bad ending please

As Jared collapsed on the floor, catching his breath and trembling with fear, he realized that the door he had locked behind him wasn't enough to keep the creature at bay. They heard a loud thud against the door, followed by the sound of scratching and scraping as the creature tried to break through.

Panic set in as Jared and his friends realized they were trapped in the house with the sinister being still lurking outside. They huddled together, their hearts beating in unison with fear. But it was too late. The door burst open with a deafening crash, and the creature stalked into the room with its twisted limbs and malevolent grin.

Jared and his friends tried to fight back, but their efforts were futile against the monstrous creature. One by one, they fell victim to its razor-sharp claws and jagged teeth, leaving behind only a trail of blood and terror.

As the creature stood amidst the carnage, Jared's last thought was of regret for ever playing that fateful game of hide and seek in the dark forest. And as darkness enveloped him, he knew that some horrors cannot be escaped, no matter how fast or how far you run. And so, the once innocent game turned into a nightmare from which there was no waking up.
