The Pax Romana began around 30 BCE with the rise of Hadrian

around 180 CE with the death of Emperor
Marcus Aurelius
as leader of Rome and ended

in 235 CE with the death of Emperor Severus Alexander. During this time, the Roman Empire experienced a period of relative peace and stability, with minimal military conflict within the empire's borders. However, as the empire grew larger and more complex, internal strife and external threats eventually led to the end of the Pax Romana.
