In Part III of The Odyssey, Odysseus finally returns home to Ithaca after a long and treacherous journey. Disguised as a beggar, he reunites with his faithful servant Eumaeus and devises a plan to reclaim his kingdom from the suitors who have taken over his palace. With the help of his son Telemachus and the goddess Athena, Odysseus reveals his true identity and slays the suitors, restoring peace and order to his home.
