In this selection, Odysseus and his crew arrive on the island of Aeaea, where they encounter the powerful sorceress Circe. With her magic, Circe turns some of Odysseus's men into pigs but is ultimately persuaded by Odysseus to restore them. Odysseus and his crew then continue their journey, facing the dangerous song of the Sirens, which lure sailors to their death. However, Odysseus, having been warned by the sorceress Circe, devises a plan to confront the Sirens while keeping his crew safe.
