It was a bright sunny 🌞 day and we were playing in the play room ( atic of our grandmothers house) when I lost my pretty new earrings, and bracelet. I told my older brother Themnoer, my 11 year old brother climbed up on a chest and said " We all need to find Nela's earrings and bracelet, we need to look for it. We will find it... I giggled he stopped and looked at me then added, "It's not because we are searching, but because we are looking." This caught everyone's attention, and they all burst into laughter. "You talk too much, Gevin. So much so that you don't know what you're saying. Please consider that there is really no difference between the words searching and looking," Themnoer said.

I looked at Themnoer, slightly hurt by his comment. "But I think there is a difference," I protested. "Searching sounds so desperate, like we've lost hope. But looking feels more positive, like we still believe we can find it."

My younger sister, Lila, who had been quiet until now, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, searching sounds like we're giving up, but looking means we're trying our best."

Themnoer rolled his eyes. "Fine, call it whatever you want. Let's just find those earrings and bracelet before Grandma finds out."

We all spread out in the playroom, looking through every nook and cranny. As we moved furniture and peeked behind shelves, we shared funny stories and giggled together. The atmosphere became more lighthearted, and soon enough, our search turned into a fun adventure.

Hours passed, and just as we were starting to lose hope, I spotted a glimmer of gold under a cushion. "I found it!" I shouted, holding up my earrings and bracelet triumphantly.

Everyone gathered around, cheering and clapping. Themnoer grinned and patted my back. "You see, Gevin? It doesn't matter if we were searching or looking. What matters is that we found what we were looking for. Well done!"

We cleaned up the playroom, putting everything back in place, and made a pact to always be there for each other, no matter what. It was a valuable lesson learned that day – the power of positive thinking and teamwork. And as we left the playroom, I couldn't help but feel grateful for my family and the bond we shared.
