What was one example Dr. Jeff gave for Convection? How was the heat transferred?

One example Dr. Jeff gave for convection was boiling water. In this example, the heat was transferred when the water molecules near the heat source (the bottom of the pot) absorbed the heat energy and became hotter. As these molecules got hotter, they moved faster and began to rise towards the top of the water. As they moved up, they transferred some of their heat energy to the surrounding cooler water molecules, making them move faster as well. This created a continuous cycle of hot water rising and cooler water sinking, leading to the transfer of heat energy throughout the water via convection.
