Awatif was coming to the end of Grade 12, and it was time for her to think about what she wanted to do when she finished school. She knew she wanted a job which had a good income, but she wanted to start by doing something in her community. She decided to get her parent's opinion on what to do. They told her that they had noticed that there was a visible decline in the environment in their local area. This inspired Awatif to start her project. She always liked to take on challenges and was always determined to succeed in what she does. She always tried to be confident in new initiatives and didn't let her nerves get to her.

As she was preparing for her second talk, Awatif was looking at her new display and proud of how smart and attractive it looked. It was a Saturday when she was giving this talk, and she hoped this would help draw a crowd. However, the library was surprisingly quiet for a weekend and she'd rather that there were more people there to hear her talk. She soon got into her topic though. She realized that a good way to reach people would be to make the talk relevant to them. Her previous talk focused on the rainforest, which maybe was harder to imagine for people living in a desert community. This time she focused on recycling, knowing this was relevant to people because of the large recycling center in the town. Awatif's voice was loud and clear and she knew that people were listening intently. She felt that she had made great progress in this project. Making money could wait, Awatif now had a teaching mission.
