Read through the list of topics from this unit.

Make sure that you feel confident about each of them before taking the unit test. If there are any topics that you forget or think you need to practice, go back and review those lessons now.Use a model to show how photosynthesis changes light energy into stored chemical energy.
• Use a model to show how photosynthesis makes stored energy.
• Use a model to show how matter is changed during cellular respiration.
• Use a model to show the breaking and forming of chemical bonds and energy during cellular respiration.
• Use models to describe the release of energy during the process of cellular respiration.Use a model to show that the chemical reaction of oxygen and food molecules releases energy as matter is rearranged, chemical bonds are broken, and new chemical bonds are formed, but matter and energy are neither created nor destroyed.
• Use a model to show that food molecules and oxygen transfer energy to the cell to support life's processes, including controlling body temperature, despite losing energy as heat.Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration: Reflect
Write a reflection about your learning in this unit. Your reflection should be at least 3 sentences. Use the following sentence starters as a guide.
The hardest part of this lesson was...
Something that made this lesson easier for me was...
I think I need more practice with...

The hardest part of this lesson was understanding how photosynthesis and cellular respiration are interconnected. It took me a while to grasp the concept of how plants use sunlight to create energy through photosynthesis, and then how that energy is released through cellular respiration. Something that made this lesson easier for me was using models to visualize the processes. Being able to physically see how the molecules and energy are changing helped me to better understand the concepts. I think I need more practice with understanding the specific chemical reactions that occur during photosynthesis and cellular respiration.

The hardest part of this lesson was understanding the intricate process of photosynthesis and cellular respiration. There were many steps and components to consider, making it challenging to fully grasp. Something that made this lesson easier for me was the use of models to visually represent the processes. It helped me visualize and understand how light energy is converted into stored chemical energy and how matter and energy are transformed during cellular respiration. However, I think I need more practice with identifying the specific molecules involved in these processes and their roles.

The hardest part of this lesson was understanding how photosynthesis changes light energy into stored chemical energy. To overcome this, I reviewed the lesson and used a model to visually demonstrate the process. Something that made this lesson easier for me was the use of models to explain the different concepts of photosynthesis and cellular respiration. It helped me visualize how matter is changed during cellular respiration, the breaking and forming of chemical bonds, and the release of energy. However, I think I need more practice with understanding the transfer of energy from food molecules and oxygen to support life processes, especially in relation to controlling body temperature.
