Can sombody show I how to use these two equation to get to the answer key x=-1485 and y=86
eq1: .124x-.530y=-229.81, eq2: -992x+.848y=-707.107
I have try subtitution but didn't get the same answer so I am lost please so steps.
Good question. Did you try actually using those numbers?
.124(-1485) - .530(86) = -229.72 I guess rounding error makes that acceptable
-.992(-1485)+.848(86) = 1546.048
So something is clearly wrong with the answers or the equations. (Besides the missing decimal point in #2)
