I know this is simple, but I have to write a research report on it.

Why does fruit turn brown?
Can anyone give me some points or websites? Thank you!!

try googling "browning fruit"

It is due primarily to oxidation (by air) of enzymes in the fruit. Googling, as suggested by Scott, will get you a lot of information which you can distill and end up with a good paper.

Thanks for constantly helping me! Lol😋

Thank you Snowflake!!!!! Soooooo helpful!!!!

You are welcome! :)

Fruit gets brown because it is not connected to the place where it started growing. Once you cut it off it starts dying even if it looks good.
