(please help) I need help with my English assignment ASAP. I need to know the meaning of Impetus?

    impetus = a strong force or cause that makes other things happen

    Yes, "chaos in a city" can be used, but it would be better if you included the entire context. Without the complete sentence and maybe a few sentences before and after, it's hard to tell for sure.
