As I am about to undertake taking the LSAT, could someone here offer an insight as to why this examination is often viewed as being more difficult than others like it?

I don't think it is. Lawyers like to brag how smart they are, and those who fail, how hard the test was. It is very similiar to Physical Chemistry (PChem) in viewing how hard. I experienced Statistical Thermodynamics, which I viewed as hard.

To be frank, of all those tests, I think the MCAT is by far the most difficult, and if you examine the folks who score in the above half, they are very high IQ folks.
