Our climate is always changing due to many factors, state atleast two major factors of increased climatic events or natural disaster that are currently affecting two provinces of papua new guinea and what needs to be done to help minimize the clamatic changing

1. Deforestation: In provinces like East Sepik and Morobe, deforestation is a major factor contributing to increased climatic events such as flooding and landslides. Illegal logging and clearing of forests for agriculture are causing a loss of natural barriers against extreme weather events. To help minimize the impacts of deforestation, stricter enforcement of logging regulations, promoting sustainable logging practices, and reforestation efforts are needed.

2. Sea level rise: Provinces like Manus and Milne Bay are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of sea level rise, which is being exacerbated by climate change. Rising sea levels are leading to coastal erosion, saltwater intrusion into freshwater sources, and increased flooding in low-lying areas. To help minimize the impacts of sea level rise, measures such as coastal protection infrastructure, sustainable land use planning to avoid building in high-risk areas, and promoting renewable energy sources to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are crucial.
