The Goya Awards, known in Spanish as "Premios Goya", are the most prestigious awards in the Spanish film industry. They are presented annually by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain to honor the best Spanish films and filmmakers of the year. They are the Spanish equivalent of the Academy Awards in the United States.
