To calculate your maximum heart rate, subtract your age from 220.

Lower range of target heart rate zone: (Maximum heart rate) x 0.7
Upper range of target heart rate zone: (Maximum heart rate) x 0.85

For example, if your maximum heart rate is calculated to be 180 beats per minute:

Lower range of target heart rate zone: 180 x 0.7 = 126 beats per minute
Upper range of target heart rate zone: 180 x 0.85 = 153 beats per minute
