The theme of this story is that if you lie, then nobody will believe you. This goes with the story because the first time the boy shouts out “Wolf!” the men come rushing to him. They found it funny and then went back to work. But when this happened a second time, they didn’t laugh but the boy laughed at them. When the boy called a third time, nobody listened. After a little bit, the wolf did come into the field. When he cried out, “Wolf! Wolf!” Nobody came, and the wolf had hurt almost all of the sheep. In conclusion, since the boy played the trick on the men too many times, when he was in real danger, nobody believed him. This is why I think that this theme would fit the story. make it shorter and write it like a 4th grader
