You have been learning a lot about our region- the Southeast region. It’s a pretty neat place to live! Now you will be completing a portfolio where you will share what you are learning about the climate, places, people, and resources from the Southeast region. You have 2 different ways that you can present this information (see the chart below), but the requirements on what needs to be included are the same for both options. Have fun representing the Southeast region!
Portfolio Requirements:
1. Climate:
- Description of the climate in the Southeast region
- Average temperatures throughout the year
- Types of weather patterns common in the region
2. Places:
- Description of at least three states in the Southeast region
- Interesting facts about each state
- Popular landmarks or attractions in each state
3. People:
- Description of the diverse population in the Southeast region
- Cultural influences in the region
- Famous people from the Southeast region
4. Resources:
- Description of the natural resources found in the Southeast region
- Importance of these resources to the economy
- Sustainability efforts in the region
Option 1: Create a PowerPoint presentation with slides for each of the requirements listed above.
Option 2: Create a physical portfolio with separate sections for each of the requirements listed above (climate, places, people, resources). Include written descriptions, pictures, and any other visual aids to enhance your presentation.
