When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for poor men, slaves, rich white men and women, and poor women to declare their independence from the oppression and inequality imposed upon them by those in power, it is their right and duty to do so.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men and women are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men and Women, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

We, therefore, the representatives of poor men, slaves, rich white men and women, and poor women, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do solemnly publish and declare, that we are absolved from all allegiance to the oppressive systems that have kept us in chains, denied us our rights, and treated us as less than human. We declare our independence from bondage, from discrimination, and from poverty.

We will no longer stand idly by while our voices are silenced, our labor is exploited, and our dignity is disregarded. We demand to be treated as equals, to be given the same rights and opportunities as any other citizen of this land. We refuse to accept anything less than full freedom, justice, and equality for all.

In conclusion, we pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor to the cause of liberation and justice for all people. We declare our independence from the oppressive forces that have plagued us for far too long, and we assert our right to live as free, equal, and dignified human beings.
