In order to survive, animals need to adapt to their environment over many generations. Think about jellyfish, its physical features, and its environmental challenges. Without doing any outside research, in 3-5 sentences, try to: a) describe what features have likely had to adapt to its environment over time, and b) hypothesize what ways it might have to adapt to environmental changes in the future.

a) Jellyfish likely adapted to their environment by developing a transparent, gelatinous body that allows them to float and drift easily in the water. They also have long tentacles with stinging cells to capture prey and defend against predators. Their ability to reproduce quickly and in large numbers helps them survive in changing conditions.

b) In the future, jellyfish may need to adapt to changes in ocean temperature and acidity due to climate change. They could potentially evolve to withstand higher temperatures and adapt their hunting strategies to changes in prey populations. Additionally, they may need to develop defenses against new predators or threats introduced by human activities.
