In three to five sentences explain how resource scarcity, competition, and the survival of organisms are connected.(4 points)Your teacher asks you to write a paper that supports a claim with evidence. In three to five sentences, describe one claim you would like to make and discuss different forms of evidence you can collect to support your claim. Where would you look for this evidence

Resource scarcity, competition, and the survival of organisms are connected because when resources are limited, organisms must compete with one another for access to those resources in order to survive. This competition drives natural selection, with only the fittest and most adaptable organisms able to successfully compete for resources and survive in their environment. As a result, the organisms that are best able to adapt to resource scarcity and outcompete others are more likely to pass on their genes to future generations, leading to evolutionary changes over time.

If I were to make a claim that climate change is negatively impacting biodiversity, I could collect evidence from scientific studies documenting changes in species distributions and population sizes over time, as well as data on increasing rates of extinction and habitat loss. I could also gather evidence from climate models that predict how different species are likely to be affected by changing environmental conditions. Additionally, I could look for evidence from field observations and surveys of species diversity in different ecosystems to support my claim.
