In unit 9 lesson 1 and in Livelesson this week, we read excepts from Anne of Green Gables. Link to lesson and readings here.

Explain in 2-3 sentences what the dialogue reveals about the character or Anne or Marilla. Cite one specific line of evidence in your response.

In the dialogue, we see that Anne is spirited and imaginative, constantly talking and daydreaming about her hopes and dreams. This is evident in the line, "It's so nice to be getting ac-QUAINTED." On the other hand, Marilla is shown to be more practical and reserved, as she reacts to Anne's enthusiasm with skepticism and concern. This is illustrated in the line, "You talk entirely too much for a little girl."
