Brown v. Board of Education did not take place in Georgia. It was a landmark United States Supreme Court case in which the Court declared state laws establishing separate public schools for black and white students to be unconstitutional. The case was originally filed in the state of Kansas, but was combined with similar cases from other states, including South Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, and the District of Columbia.
