As he walked, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. Shadows flitted through the trees, and the wind whispered secrets in his ear. He knew that danger lurked in every shadow, but he also knew that he had a destiny to fulfill.
Suddenly, a figure stepped out from behind a tree, blocking his path. It was an old man with a long white beard and piercing blue eyes. Merlin recognized him immediately as Maugrim, the powerful sorcerer who had been hunting him for years.
