Define marginalisation

Marginalization refers to the social process by which individuals or groups are pushed to the edges or margins of society, where they may be excluded or marginalized from mainstream social, political, economic, or cultural opportunities and resources. This can lead to discrimination, lower status, limited access to rights and services, and reduced opportunities for social mobility. Marginalized groups may include racial or ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and those living in poverty.
