Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem over two thousand years ago to Mary and Joseph. His birth was foretold by prophets and angels, who heralded the coming of the Savior of mankind. Jesus grew up in Nazareth, a humble village in Galilee, where he lived a simple life with his family.
As a young man, Jesus began his ministry, traveling throughout the land of Israel, preaching the word of God and performing miracles. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and comforted the afflicted. His teachings were revolutionary, calling on people to love their neighbors, forgive their enemies, and work towards a kingdom of peace and justice.

They saw him as a threat to their power and influence, and they conspired to have him arrested and crucified. In the words of the prophet Isaiah, he was “a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.”
