1) a group of people are going to build a 8500 m road. An average of 650 m has been built each day for five days. To speed up the progress, the average daily construction will be increased to 750 m. how many more days will it take them to finish building the road?

To find the total number of meters built in 5 days, we multiply the average daily construction by the number of days: 650 m/day x 5 days = 3250 m

This means there are 8500 m - 3250 m = 5250 m left to build.
To find out how many days it will take to finish building the road at the increased daily construction rate, we divide the remaining distance by the new average daily construction rate: 5250 m / 750 m/day = 7 days
It will take them 7 more days to finish building the road.
