What did you learn this week in U.S. History in the World War II unit, specifically in the Aggression lesson about Totalitarianism form of government? Be specific in your answer, tell what you learned and the lesson it came from and secondly, describe how you would FEEL if you living in a country that had a totalitarian government? Give me one positive and one negative about this way of living under this type of government versus living in a democracy.

In the Aggression lesson about Totalitarianism form of government in World War II, I learned that totalitarian governments seek to control every aspect of people's lives, including their thoughts, beliefs, and actions. This lesson also taught me that totalitarian leaders use propaganda, censorship, and a secret police force to maintain control over the population.

If I were living in a country with a totalitarian government, I would feel fearful and oppressed. One positive aspect of living under this type of government is that there may be a sense of order and unity within the society, as everyone is expected to follow the same beliefs and goals set by the government. However, a major negative aspect is the loss of individual freedoms and rights, as citizens are not allowed to express dissenting opinions or participate in political decision-making. In contrast, living in a democracy allows for personal freedoms, such as freedom of speech and the right to vote, but may also lead to political divisions and chaos if not managed properly.
