Muhammad did not do anything to the Kaaba himself, but he played a significant role in the re-dedication and cleansing of the Kaaba when he conquered Mecca in 630 AD. He removed all the idols and pagan images that were present in and around the Kaaba and restored it as a place of monotheistic worship for Muslims. This event is known as the Conquest of Mecca, and it marked a significant moment in the history of Islam.
