Water scarcity and desertification are significant challenges in much of Southwest Asia. There is limited access to fresh water sources, and increasing population growth and climate change exacerbate the problem. This makes agriculture difficult and contributes to food insecurity and poverty in the region. Additionally, political conflicts and instability in some areas further hinder efforts to address these issues.
