Interventions:

3. Educate patient and family on the nature of macular degeneration, including risk factors, progression, and treatment options.
4. Collaborate with eye care specialist to ensure patient is receiving appropriate treatment, such as medication, injections, or surgery.
5. Teach patient about the importance of using protective eyewear and avoiding exposure to UV light to prevent further damage.
