I recently started a facebook page. I started it to have the ability to look on the market place for parts for my old truck I am planning to rebuild the motor on. I also have snap chat and instagram This is how I communicate with friends and we talk about racing our remote control cars. When I was in a brick and mortar school and I was playing football one of my coaches sent a snap to all of us telling us not to tell the principle of the school that we had been around another student who had covid because it would cancel our football game for that Friday. I told my mom about it she was furious we have to be very careful not to spread germs in my house becaue my mom cares for a medically challenged individual who can not get covid again it almost killed him the first time and he has perment damage to his lungs. My mom took screen shots of the snapchat message from the coach and took it to the school adminastrators. Our game was canceled and the coach was in trouble for telling us to lie and for possibly spreading more germs. I told this story to prove you never know who will see your post and what the outcome may be so only post things that you dont mind if your boss sees it. I feel like employers should be able to see social media accounts because it gives them the ability to really see a person and see who they are when they are more comfortable. As an employer I would want to know that the person I hired is honest and doesnt hide who they are from me at work. Now with that being said my boss now is also a hunting buddy, camping buddy, and a family friend so we all know exactly what type of people we are around at work because we are also around them outside of work.
