Absolute Monarchy

Using a variety of sources (NOTES, books, internet, newspapers, magazines) make a poster (in
CANVA or alike program) to illustrate your assigned form of government:
Monarchy (limited/absolute)
Dictatorship
Democracy (Direct/Representative)
Republic
Theocracy
Totalitarianism
Include:
1. An icon or symbol that represents that form of government
2. A slogan that could be used to promote that form of government in an ad campaign (ad on
TV or Social Media)
3. Who rules in this type of government? How is it decided who should rule? Who has the real
power?
4. Who has no power or say in this type of government? How are they excluded?
5. An example of a country with that form of government in modern times.

Monarchy (Absolute)

1. Icon/Symbol: Crown
- The crown represents the ultimate authority and power held by the monarch.

2. Slogan: "Embrace the Wisdom of Kings"
- This slogan promotes the idea that an absolute monarchy ensures stability, continuity, and wise leadership.

3. Ruler: Monarch (King/Queen)
- In an absolute monarchy, the king or queen possesses unlimited and unchecked power. They inherit their position based on their lineage or bloodline.

4. Power: Monarch
- The real power rests solely with the monarch, who makes decisions and governs without being bound by a constitution or the consent of the people. They have the authority to enforce laws, command the military, and control all branches of government.

5. Exclusion: General Population
- The general population has no power or say in the government under an absolute monarchy. They are excluded from participating in the decision-making process or influencing political matters. The monarch's rule is absolute and not subject to popular vote or public opinion.

6. Modern Example: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a modern-day absolute monarchy. The ruling family, the House of Saud, holds ultimate power in the country. The monarch, currently King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, exercises absolute control over all aspects of governance, including legislative, executive, and judicial powers. The citizens have limited political rights and are subject to the king's authority.
