I am not quite sure I understand…

One thing I didn't know about evidence for evolution was how fossil records can provide such crucial information. I used to think that fossils were just bones or remains of ancient creatures, but now I know that they hold valuable evidence about the history of life on Earth.

I better understand how scientists are able to trace an organism's evolutionary path because of the concept of homologous structures. Learning about how different organisms can share similar structures, like the bones in the forelimbs of humans, cats, and bats, has helped me see how common ancestry and gradual change can lead to the diversity of life we see today.

I am not quite sure I understand the molecular evidence for evolution fully. Although I have learned about DNA sequencing and genetic similarities between organisms, I still have questions about how changes in DNA can directly lead to the development of new traits and species over time.
