The falling action of a play occurs

after the climax and before the resolution. It is the part of the play where the conflicts and tensions that were built up during the rising action start to be resolved. The falling action usually includes a series of events or scenes that lead towards the conclusion of the play. This is the moment where the audience gets to see the aftermath of the climactic event and witness how the characters deal with the consequences of their actions. The pace of the play starts to slow down during this phase, as the plot begins to wrap up and loose ends are tied up.
