The Georgia Platform: The people involved in this event were representatives from the states of Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. They were affected by the event as they worked together to form a plan to address the issue of slavery in the western territories.

What happened: The Georgia Platform was a series of resolutions created by the representatives to address the issue of slavery in the western territories. They proposed that Congress should not exclude slavery from the territories, but instead allow the people of the territories to decide for themselves whether or not to allow slavery.
