1. The problem I have identified is water scarcity in South Asia, specifically in countries such as India and Pakistan. These nations are facing severe water shortages, resulting in inadequate access to clean drinking water and limited availability for agriculture and other essential uses.

2. Supporting background information includes data on declining groundwater levels, reduced water availability due to pollution and contamination, and increasing population leading to greater water demand. Additionally, reports from international organizations and government agencies highlight the severity of the water scarcity problem in South Asia.
3. The roles of government, business, and citizens are all crucial in addressing the water scarcity problem. Governments should implement policies and regulations to promote water conservation, invest in infrastructure for water management, and provide access to clean water for all citizens. Businesses can contribute by adopting sustainable water practices, using water-efficient technologies, and supporting projects that aim to increase water availability. Citizens should practice water conservation, support and participate in community water management initiatives, and raise awareness about the importance of water conservation.

1. My proposed solution to the problem of water scarcity is to implement comprehensive water management strategies in South Asia. This would involve a combination of sustainable practices such as rainwater harvesting, water recycling and reuse, and increasing water efficiency in agricultural practices to reduce wastage.
2. The proposed solution would require financial resources for infrastructure development, technological investments for water purification and treatment, and education and awareness campaigns. Human resources would be needed for research and expertise in water management, as well as for implementing and maintaining the proposed solutions. Natural resources such as water sources and land would also be necessary for implementing rainwater harvesting and other water management techniques.
3. Government should allocate funds for infrastructure development and provide incentives for businesses and citizens to adopt water-saving practices. Business leaders can invest in technological advancements for water treatment and purification and support research and development in water management solutions. Citizens should actively participate in conservation efforts, practice water-saving habits in their daily lives, and support local initiatives for water management.
4. The positive outcome of implementing the proposed solution would be improved water availability and access for all citizens in South Asia. This would ensure clean drinking water for communities, support sustainable agriculture practices, and alleviate the impact of water scarcity on the economy and public health. It would also contribute to the overall environmental sustainability of the region, preserving water resources for future generations.
