Summarize chapter 10 of the book, “And Then There Were None”

Chapter 10 of "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie starts with the remaining survivors of Soldier Island dining together. They are still suspicious of each other and trying to figure out who the murderer is among them. Justice Wargrave proposes a plan to mitigate the situation: each person will sleep in their own rooms with the door open while the staff looks after them. They all agree and move to their bedrooms.

Vera Claythorne is assigned to the green room and feels increasingly guilty about her past actions. She remembers the mysterious death of Cyril, her lover's young nephew, which was done to inherit a fortune. Vera feels haunted by the spirit of Cyril, thinking he is accusing her of his death. She starts hallucinating his voice and becomes tormented by the guilt.

Dr. Armstrong is given the bedroom next to Vera’s, and he also feels uneasy about his past. Remembering the patient he misdiagnosed, causing her death, he questions his abilities as a doctor.

Later, Vera overhears footsteps outside her door and sees a shadow nearing her room. Terrified, she locks her door, but decides to approach Dr. Armstrong to ascertain who was outside. When she opens his door, she discovers that he is not in his room, having left his own door wide open.

As Vera tries to make sense of the situation, she hears a scream and rushes to investigate. Upon reaching Emily Brent's room, she finds her dead, her neck branded with the mark of a bee sting. In a panic, Vera goes to alarm the others, finding only Rogers missing.

They all gather in the drawing-room, realizing the murderer is still among them. They discover that Armstrong is not present either. The guests speculate and accuse each other, suspecting motives and hidden agendas. The tension continues to rise until they find Armstrong's dead body washed up on the shore, confirming their fears.

The survivors are now more afraid than ever and struggle to trust anyone. They have no idea who is behind the murders and fear that the murderer is one of them. They vow to stay together and devise a plan to catch the killer. The chapter concludes with the realization that there may be no escape from the island and the people they once knew are now their potential executioners.
