Pink salt made from sea water

Pink salt, also known as Himalayan salt, is not made from sea water. It is actually a type of rock salt that is mined from the Khewra Salt Mine located in the foothills of the Himalayas in Pakistan. The distinctive pink color of the salt comes from trace minerals, such as iron oxide, that are present in the salt deposits. It is known for its unique flavor and is often used as a gourmet ingredient in cooking and as a natural alternative to regular table salt.
