What ismigration, and what are push and pull factors.

Migration refers to the movement of people from one place to another, usually for the purpose of permanently settling in a new location. It can be within a country (internal migration) or across different countries (international migration).

Push factors are the circumstances or conditions in the origin location that compel people to leave and migrate elsewhere. These factors often involve negative aspects like poverty, lack of job opportunities, natural disasters, conflict, political instability, persecution, and environmental degradation. Push factors essentially compel individuals or communities to escape these unfavorable conditions and seek better opportunities or safety in a different place.

Pull factors, on the other hand, are the attractions or opportunities present in the destination location that "pull" or allure migrants to settle there. These factors can include better job prospects, higher wages, access to education or healthcare, political stability, social and religious freedom, improved living conditions, or the presence of family members or community ties. Pull factors essentially entice individuals or communities to migrate and seek a better life in a new place.
