The Battle of Kettle Creek was a minor engagement during the American Revolutionary War that took place on February 14, 1779, in Georgia. A Patriot militia force led by Colonel Andrew Pickens launched a surprise attack on a Loyalist force commanded by Colonel James Boyd. The Patriots successfully routed the Loyalists, capturing over 70 prisoners and disrupting the British supply line in the region.
