Convict

A convict is a person who has been found guilty of committing a crime and has been sentenced to punishment, usually in the form of imprisonment. Convicts may have been convicted of various crimes, ranging from theft and assault to more serious offenses such as murder or drug trafficking. Once convicted, a person's freedom is restricted, and they are generally placed in a correctional facility, such as a prison, where they serve their sentence. The length of the sentence depends on the severity of the crime and is determined by a court of law.
