Why was Georgia one of the last colonies to join in rebelling against British rule?

(one paragraph)

Georgia was one of the last colonies to join in rebelling against British rule mainly due to a combination of political, economic, and social factors. Politically, Georgia initially had a strong allegiance to Britain as its founder, James Oglethorpe, had established the colony as a haven for debtors and poor individuals. This created a dependency on British support and protection. Additionally, Georgia had a significant population of loyalists who were opposed to the idea of rebellion. Economically, Georgia relied heavily on trade with Britain and feared that rebelling would disrupt their profitable relationship. Socially, there was a significant divide between the wealthy plantation owners who were more inclined towards loyalty to Britain, and the poorer white settlers and African slaves who had grievances with British policies. It was only after other colonies had initiated rebellion, and with the outbreak of the Revolutionary War, that Georgia eventually joined the cause of independence against British rule.
