Attaining nonrenewable resources, such as fossil fuels, has had two significant impacts on the environment and society. Firstly, the extraction and combustion of these resources have led to a substantial increase in greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to climate change and global warming. As the population has increased, the demand for these resources has also risen, intensifying environmental degradation. Secondly, the depletion of nonrenewable resources has raised concerns about future energy security and economic stability, as these resources are finite and finite resources become scarcer as the population grows and industrializes. Thus, increasing population has only aggravated the environmental and socio-economic impacts associated with attaining nonrenewable resources.
