Place the medium blue guy on the very end of the left rope & 1 small red guy on the very end of the right rope

Why does the cart move that way?

If the medium blue guy is placed on the very end of the left rope and the small red guy is placed on the very end of the right rope, it means that the left rope has a heavier weight than the right rope. This causes an imbalance in the forces acting on the cart.

According to Newton's third law of motion, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So, when the left rope with the medium blue guy exerts a force towards the left, the cart will move towards the right in response to the equal and opposite force.

Additionally, the placement of the small red guy on the very end of the right rope causes a greater torque on that side, further contributing to the cart's movement to the right. The imbalanced forces and torques cause the cart to move in the direction opposite to the heavier side.

The cart moves to the right because of the imbalance of forces caused by the placement of the blue and red guys on the ropes. When the blue guy is placed on the left end of the rope and the red guy is placed on the right end of the rope, the cart will experience a net force towards the right side.

To understand this, we need to consider the concept of torque. Torque is the force that causes an object to rotate around an axis. When the blue guy is placed on the left end of the rope, it creates a clockwise torque, causing the cart to want to rotate in that direction. Similarly, when the red guy is placed on the right end of the rope, it creates a counterclockwise torque, opposing the clockwise torque.

Now, when the blue guy is heavier or has more mass than the red guy, the clockwise torque created by the blue guy's weight becomes greater than the counterclockwise torque created by the red guy's weight. As a result, the net torque is in the clockwise direction. This causes the cart to rotate towards the right side, ultimately resulting in the cart moving to the right.

Therefore, the imbalance of torque caused by the asymmetrical placement of the blue and red guys on the ropes is what causes the cart to move in the specific direction.

The cart moves in a certain way because of the placement of the figures on the ropes. In this scenario, the medium blue guy is placed on the very end of the left rope, while the small red guy is placed on the very end of the right rope.

When the cart starts moving, the weights of the figures on each side create an imbalance of forces. The weight of the medium blue guy on the left side is greater than the weight of the small red guy on the right side. As a result, the left side of the cart becomes heavier than the right side.

According to the principles of physics and mechanics, the cart will tend to move in the direction of the heavier side. Therefore, in this case, the cart will move towards the left as the left side is heavier due to the medium blue guy's weight.
