The second step used in the actual hair pressing procedure is:

a. Insert the teeth of the straightening comb into the top side of the
hair section close to the scalp. Hold the hair strand firmly
against the rod of the comb.
b. Each completed subsection should be placed up or to one side to keep
it out of the work area. Continue over the entire head until all
sections have been pressed.
c. Starting at the top of the left back section, subsection the hair
into short, half-inch partings, working from crown to nape and
completing one section at a time. Hold the end of a small section
of hair between the index finger and the thumb of the left hand (or
of the right hand if you are left-handed.) Hold the strand upward
and away from the scalp.
d. Repeat this pressing motion twice on the top of the strand and once
on the underside of the strand.
e. Keeping the hair strand firmly against the back rod of the
straightening comb and turning the comb slowly away from you, draw
it up through the entire hair strand until the hair ends pass
through the teeth. ANSWER IS NOT E
