Another example of aid provided by the UNDP is the Programme on HIV/AIDS and Governance in Nigeria. This program aims to strengthen governance structures and systems in Nigeria to effectively respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. It focuses on improving the capacity of government institutions, civil society organizations, and communities to prevent new HIV infections, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS. In addition, this program supports advocacy efforts to reduce stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.
