at the age of ten,my family took a trip to washington,DC

We spent five days exploring all of the famous monuments, museums, and landmarks that make up the city's rich history--from the towering Washington Monument to the sprawling Smithsonian museums. One of my favorite memories was walking through the National Mall at night with my parents, watching as each monument was dramatically lit up against the dark sky. It was a moment that made me appreciate the beauty and significance of our nation's capital, and sparked a lifelong interest in history and politics.
