Neurons communicate with one another through electrical and chemical signals. Electrical signals are transmitted through the axon of one neuron to the dendrites of another neuron. Chemical signals are transmitted through the release of neurotransmitters from the axon terminal of one neuron to the dendrites of another neuron.
